Experienced and Friendly

We are very well qualified and very experienced. 

Clients come back to us because of this and also because we are known for being kind and gentle with all of our clients whether they are age 3 or 83. We pride ourselves on being a friendly practice while also being extremely professional. We love our job but we also take it seriously.

Rosalind Bishop - Cert Ed., B.Sc., M.Sc. Ed. Psych., Ph.D., A.F.P.S.I., Chartered Psychol.

Rosalind attended the University of Ulster and graduated in 1982 with a professional teaching qualification and an Honours degree in Psychology. She then went to Edinburgh University where she obtained a Master's degree in Educational Psychology: a professional training course, in 1983. She worked as an Educational Psychologist in England for School Psychological Services between 1983 and 1988, when she came home to Dublin and entered part time private practice and also worked for a service for children with special needs as an Educational Psychologist in Dublin. Rosalind obtained a Doctorate in Psychology from University College Dublin in 2004.  As her private practice got busier she took on two Educational Psychologists and in 2003 opened the office in Rathmines where the practice has been ever since. She lives in Rathmines and has two sons.

Karina Mogensen - MB.A. H.Dip.Ed., M.Ed. (S.E.N.), P.S.I., Chartered Psychol.

Karina obtained an Honours Degree in Psychology from the American College Dublin in 2000, graduating first in her class. She then received a professional teaching degree, a Higher Diploma of Education, from UCD in 2001, followed by a 1st Class Honours Masters of Education, in Special Education Needs, also from the UCD. During and in between her studies, Karina worked in a Mainstream Secondary school, a Special School and also worked with children with Autistic Spectrum Disorders on a one to one basis.

Karina has worked and continued her professional development with Dr. Rosalind Bishop since 2005. She has three children and is passionate about helping children enjoy school and have a positive experience there.

Elizabeth Wilcox - B.A.Psych; H.Dip. Ed; P.S.I.; Practice Director

Elizabeth attended Trinity College Dublin, and graduated in 1998 with an Honours Degree in Psychology. She then went to Marino Institute of Education, Dublin where she obtained a Higher Diploma in Education (Primary). She worked as a primary teacher and as a Learning Support teacher for many years. She has diverse experience from working in Headfort Preparatory Boarding School to teaching in inner city and also disadvantaged schools. 

In 2003, Elizabeth completed a Psychometric testing course in UCD and has been on the Department of Education’s NEPS Panel of Psychologists carrying out assessments in schools since that date. Elizabeth worked for the Dyslexia Association of Ireland as an Educational Psychologist from 2005 until 2007. She has three young children and lives in Wicklow. Elizabeth has always loved working with children of all ages and has taught piano (RIA) for many years, enjoying the rapport and fun with her pupils. She is passionate about enabling children to realise their full potential and to be happy, both in school and in all areas of life.

Katie Reilly - B.A.Psych; M.Sc (Applied Psychology); P.S.I.; Staff Psychologist

Katie graduated from Trinity College Dublin with an Honours Bachelor degree in  Psychology in 2020. She then continued her studies, completing her Masters in Applied Psychology in 2021, also at Trinity College Dublin. Katie was involved in research piloted by the HSE which investigated psychologists' experiences of teletherapy throughout the Covid-19 pandemic, and has since published her research in the Counselling & Psychotherapy research journal (2022). 

Following this, Katie transitioned to working in the private sector with neurodivergent children as part of a multidisciplinary team including speech and language therapists and occupational therapists. Since joining R.K. Bishop & Co., she has accumulated a wealth of experience in conducting various educational psychology assessments, and has been enjoying the fun and variety that children and adolescents bring to the clinic every day. In her spare-time, Katie is an avid reformer-pilates enthusiast and a lover of dogs. 


Cathy Masterson - Office Manager

Cathy is our office manager who arranges our appointments and is our liason person with the families and clients. She does all the administrative work that ensure the smooth running of the practice. Cathy is the first point of contact for R.K. Bishop and Co. and always has a kind, professional and warm manner when engaging with clients and / or their parents. Cathy has a great way of putting people at their ease, both on the phone and in person.
